A warm and timeless chalet home design
Combining the traditional charm of wooden chalets with the modernity of contemporary homes, this chalet home design designed by Plan Maison Québec offers a welcoming, functional, and inspiring living space. Its Scandinavian architecture and meticulous finishes make it the ideal choice for lovers of nature and modern comfort, whether for a primary residence or a mountain retreat.
Scandinavian architecture with a refined design
This chalet home design captivates with its elegant look, showcasing a two-story structure topped with a large, steeply pitched roof. The use of exposed wood, combined with natural tones, gives the facade a warm and authentic character. The solid beams and large covered terrace upstairs add a rustic and welcoming touch, typical of Nordic chalets. This harmonious design blends tradition and modernity, offering a perfect balance between aesthetics and energy performance.
Bright and well-designed living spaces
With a total surface area of 1,345 sq ft, this chalet-style home was designed to maximize every square meter. The ground floor features an open concept combining the living room and kitchen, creating an environment conducive to conviviality. The living room benefits from beautiful light thanks to the large windows facing nature, while the kitchen, with its central island, becomes a true gathering place for the family.
There is also a master bedroom on the ground floor, adjacent to a full bathroom equipped with a bathtub and a functional storage space. This layout allows for easy circulation and optimal daily living comfort.
A versatile and inspiring mezzanine
Upstairs, a spacious mezzanine overlooks the ground floor and offers a unique space that can be used as an office, games room, reading nook, or even a guest bedroom. This room, open to nature through large windows, creates a peaceful and inspiring atmosphere, ideal for working from home or relaxing. It also features a second full bathroom, as well as a practical storage space, perfect for seasonal items or outdoor gear.
Sustainable and adaptable construction
This chalet-style home rests on a poured concrete or slab foundation, ensuring excellent strength and long-term durability. With no basement or garage, it prioritizes architectural simplicity and thermal performance, while easily adapting to various terrain types. Its compact design and well-proportioned structure facilitate construction and maintenance, making it both an economical and environmentally friendly choice.
A chalet designed to enjoy nature
The outdoor terraces on the ground and upper floors naturally extend the interior spaces to the outdoors. They invite you to fully enjoy the seasons, whether admiring the sunsets, sharing a meal with family, or simply relaxing and breathing in the fresh air. This chalet home model was designed to blend harmoniously into natural environments, such as forests, mountains, or lakesides, while offering the comfort of a modern home.
