Wooden chalet plan: The perfect blend of nature and modern comfort

Dreaming of a cozy retreat in the heart of nature, where every detail evokes relaxation and authenticity? This wooden chalet plan, designed by the Plan Maison Québec team, offers a perfect balance between traditional charm and contemporary comfort. With its 1,620 sq ft surface area, two bedrooms, a bright mezzanine, and two full bathrooms, this model meets the needs of families and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

A traditional design with timeless charm

Inspired by the architecture of Quebec chalets, this wooden chalet plan stands out with its simple, harmonious lines. Its natural wood cladding and gable roof give the building a timeless character that blends elegantly into any landscape, whether located in the mountains, in the forest, or near a lake.

Outdoors, a covered terrace allows you to enjoy the beautiful weather while admiring the surrounding view. The use of wood as the primary material evokes warmth and solidity, while also offering excellent energy efficiency. The traditional style of this chalet doesn't preclude modernity: the large glass openings let in natural light, creating a bright and soothing interior environment.

A functional and inviting interior

The ground floor of this wooden chalet plan was designed to maximize comfort and ease of movement. The living room, with its cathedral ceiling, offers impressive volume and a clear view of the mezzanine. This living space opens onto the kitchen and dining room, creating a welcoming space ideal for family meals and evenings with friends.

A comfortable bedroom, a full bathroom with a bathtub, and a well-integrated laundry room complete this level, providing everything needed for daily living. The spaces are optimized to offer maximum comfort in a reasonable space, while maintaining the warm feel of the chalet.

A bright and versatile mezzanine

The upper floor features a vast mezzanine measuring over 21 feet by 30 feet, overlooking the ground floor. This open and airy space can serve as a master suite, home office, or reading nook, depending on your needs. An additional bathroom and storage space complete the upper floor, ensuring practicality and privacy.

The opening to the ground floor allows natural light to circulate freely, accentuating the feeling of space and height. This mezzanine quickly becomes the peaceful heart of the home, a place where one feels in harmony with the surrounding nature.

A solid and durable construction

This wooden chalet plan rests on a poured concrete foundation, ensuring strength and stability over time. Designed to withstand the harsh Quebec climate, it offers high-performance insulation and a durable design. Its wooden frame provides great design freedom and excellent thermal efficiency, making this model an ideal choice for those looking to build an eco-friendly, economical, and timeless cottage.

The absence of a basement simplifies construction and reduces costs, while maintaining optimal comfort thanks to a well-thought-out design adapted to the realities of Quebec.
