A house plan with a partial basement designed for sloping lots

This house plan with a partial basement offers an architecture that is both warm and functional, perfectly adapted to the realities of sloping lots. Designed as a single-family home in a rustic Scandinavian style, this dwelling emphasizes simple volumes, a smart layout, and abundant natural light. With 1,674 sq ft of living space spread over two habitable levels, it meets the needs of both a primary residence and a vacation home.

From the outside, the balance between the light-colored cladding, the steeply pitched roof, and the wood elements creates a strong visual signature, inspired by contemporary Nordic chalets. The exposed partial basement integrates harmoniously into the overall design and reinforces the architectural character of the house.

A fluid and inviting interior layout

The main living areas are arranged in an open configuration, promoting flow and conviviality. The living room, dining room, and kitchen flow seamlessly into a bright, open-plan space. This layout highlights the generous windows and allows you to fully appreciate the surrounding natural environment.

The well-defined entrance provides convenient and structured access to the house, while also incorporating essential storage space. A full bathroom on this level enhances the versatility of the floor plan and makes it suitable for a variety of occupants.

A bright mezzanine and a private suite upstairs

Upstairs, the mezzanine, open to the main living area, adds a distinctive architectural dimension. It creates a sense of height, accentuated by the sloping roof, while allowing natural light to flood the heart of the home. This space can serve as a relaxation area, an office, or a multi-purpose room, depending on your needs.

The master bedroom is also located upstairs, offering privacy and comfort. It features an ensuite bathroom and walk-in closets for optimal organization. The entire space creates a true private suite, ideal for long-term occupancy or high-quality seasonal use.

An unfinished basement with multiple possibilities

The unfinished semi-basement is a major advantage of this floor plan. Partially above ground, it benefits from windows that provide natural light and offer potential for customization. This space can later accommodate a family room, an office, a home theater, or any other additional use, depending on evolving needs.

Thanks to its configuration, this house plan with a semi-basement maximizes the use of the built volume while adapting perfectly to sloping sites. The presence of a walk-out basement facilitates outdoor access and strengthens the connection between the interior and the natural environment.

A sustainable and timeless Scandinavian rustic architecture

Combining the charm of rustic style with the simplicity of Scandinavian design, this house stands out for its timeless aesthetic and functionality. The clean lines, compact structure, and poured concrete foundation make it a smart choice for northern climates and sustainable projects.

This house plan with a partial basement offers a complete solution for those seeking a well-designed, adaptable home that can be modified to suit the constraints of the site, while also providing a strong and contemporary architectural style.
