A warm and timeless two-story farmhouse house plan

Offering a rustic style with a contemporary touch, this two-story farmhouse house plan captivates with its elegant silhouette, green vertical siding, and sloping metal roof, perfect for northern climates. Designed to be suitable as a primary residence or a family cottage, this home combines aesthetics, functionality, and comfort in a well-designed format. The architecture is inspired by country homes of yesteryear while incorporating modern elements popular with today's families.

A bright living area open to the outdoors

Upon entering, you are greeted by a vast open-concept space featuring the kitchen, dining room, and living room. This 28'11" x 18'3" main room benefits from large windows on three sides, maximizing natural light throughout the day. The cathedral ceiling, visible on the upstairs mezzanine, reinforces the sense of grandeur and warm ambiance of the space.

This two-story farmhouse house plan highlights the interplay between indoors and outdoors thanks to two covered terraces, accessible through patio doors. The first, measuring 12' x 20', is located at the rear, ideal for outdoor dining. The second, larger (30' x 12'), runs along the side of the house, providing a covered relaxation area where you can read or entertain guests, sheltered from the elements.

Two bedrooms and functional spaces on the ground floor

The ground floor includes two 13' x 12' bedrooms, located at the rear of the house for added tranquility. Ideal for children, guests, or a home office, these rooms benefit from the close proximity of the full bathroom, which features a bathtub and vanity. There is also a utility room, mechanical storage, and a pantry located near the kitchen.

The layout was carefully designed to optimize circulation and limit wasted space. The absence of a basement is compensated for by the intelligent arrangement of storage on the concrete slab, allowing for simpler, faster, and more cost-effective construction.

An intimate master suite upstairs

Upstairs, we discover a true haven of peace reserved for the owners. The 19'8" x 13'5" master bedroom offers a vast, private space, bathed in light and boasting beautiful views of the surroundings. Adjoining the bedroom, a private bathroom and a 5'5" x 9'11" walk-in closet complete the ensemble.

The large upstairs boudoir, measuring 14'3" x 9'11", offers a versatile space perfect for a reading nook, a TV room, or a small office. Thanks to its openness on the ground floor, it maintains a visual connection with the common areas while enjoying the peace and quiet of the upper floor. This two-story farmhouse house plan is ideal for families looking to separate private and common living spaces.

A versatile design for diverse environments

This house model, without a garage, adapts equally well to a wooded setting or a rural lot. The simple yet expressive silhouette of its steeply sloped roof, combined with the use of durable materials, makes it a home suited to varied climates. Whether for year-round living or as a four-season cottage, this two-story farmhouse house plan will meet your expectations for comfort, style, and functionality.
