Contemporary chalet plan: The perfect balance between comfort and nordic design

Discover this contemporary chalet plan by Plan Maison Québec, a unique creation that combines the elegance of Scandinavian style with the warmth of tradition. Designed for lovers of nature and sleek design, this two-story chalet captivates with its modern look, bright spaces, and layout designed to maximize comfort all year round.

Scandinavian architecture with a modern touch

With its bold facade and large cathedral windows, this contemporary chalet plan perfectly embodies the charm of Nordic style. The clean lines of the steeply pitched roof and understated materials highlight an architecture that is both functional and welcoming.

The exterior, inspired by revisited mountain chalets, combines modern elements such as dark vertical siding and exposed wooden beams, creating an elegant and timeless contrast. This chalet blends equally well into a forest setting or a lakeside setting, creating a peaceful living environment in harmony with nature.

An open and bright interior

This contemporary chalet plan features a spacious, open-plan living area spread over two levels. On the ground floor, the living room boasts an impressive cathedral ceiling that lets in natural light at all hours of the day. The cleverly arranged dining room and kitchen promote conviviality and a fluid flow between the spaces.

The kitchen features a central island with a breakfast nook, ideal for mornings with family or evenings with friends. The dining room opens onto a vast outdoor terrace, perfect for extending relaxing moments outdoors and fully enjoying the surrounding landscape.

A smart layout for the whole family

This contemporary chalet plan offers a total surface area of 1,650 sq ft spread over two floors, optimized for the comfort of three well-proportioned bedrooms.

The ground floor includes a spacious master bedroom, a full bathroom, a mechanical room, and a convenient pantry. Upstairs, two additional bedrooms face each other, separated by a large living room opening onto the mezzanine. This space overlooking the living room can be converted into a reading nook, office, or playroom, depending on the family's needs.

This layout makes this chalet as pleasant for everyday living as it is for use as a second home or four-season cottage.

A practical and durable contemporary chalet plan

Designed to meet modern comfort standards, this contemporary chalet plan rests on a poured concrete or slab foundation, ensuring a solid and durable structure.

Although this model is offered without a garage, it offers numerous conversion possibilities, whether adding a carport, storage space, or a detached garage at a later date.

The design of this chalet also optimizes energy performance, thanks to its natural orientation toward light and insulation adapted to Quebec's climate. A cottage plan by Plan Maison Québec
