1,792 sq. ft. single-story scandinavian-style 3-bedroom house plan
Discover this single-story, 3-bedroom Scandinavian-style house plan—a 1,792-square-foot, single-family residence that blends architectural simplicity, functionality, and natural elegance. Designed on a single level, this home features an optimized interior layout, light-filled living spaces, and a clean, minimalist aesthetic inspired by Nordic dwellings.
Measuring 64 feet wide by 28 feet deep, this Scandinavian-style home stands out for its elongated silhouette, gabled roof, and warm exterior cladding. Built on a concrete slab—with no basement or garage—it offers a practical and accessible residential configuration.
Scandinavian architecture featuring natural materials
The home’s exterior aesthetic is defined by a restrained and balanced architectural composition. Vertical wood siding in natural tones adds a warm texture, while a green, standing-seam metal roof provides a striking contrast.
The rectangular form, combined with a gabled roof, evokes traditional Nordic construction while maintaining a contemporary feel.
Strategically placed openings across the facades ensure that each room is bathed in natural light. A main entrance, sheltered by a small, independent roof, further enhances the building’s welcoming character.
At the rear, a large sliding glass door creates a seamless connection between the interior living space and the outdoors.
An open and inviting living area
The interior layout of this single-story, 3-bedroom Scandinavian-style home prioritizes fluid movement and a welcoming atmosphere.
At the heart of the residence lies a 22-foot by 12-foot kitchen, serving as the central hub of the home’s design. It features a large central island, perfect for meal preparation while serving as a functional gathering space.
The 8-foot by 11-foot dining room integrates seamlessly into this open-plan area. Nearby, the 14-foot by 14-foot living room provides a comfortable setting for relaxation.
This layout brings together essential daily activities in a bright, airy environment, free from unnecessary partitions.
Three bedrooms and two bathrooms
This single-family home includes three bedrooms positioned at opposite ends of the building, creating a functional separation between private quarters and common living areas.
The primary bedroom measures 14 feet by 13 feet 3 inches and includes a 7-foot-4-inch by 6-foot-6-inch walk-through closet.
The two additional bedrooms, each measuring 12 feet by 10 feet 9 inches, are versatile spaces that can serve as children’s rooms, guest rooms, or home offices, depending on your needs.
The main bathroom—approximately 10 feet 3 inches by 13 feet—is equipped with a bathtub, a separate shower, and a double-sink vanity. A second bathroom, also featuring a shower, completes the home’s sanitary facilities.
Well-integrated utility spaces
The design incorporates various storage and service areas to maximize the home’s livable square footage.
A dedicated laundry room makes managing household chores easier. A separate pantry, located near the kitchen, provides extra space for food storage.
The entrance vestibule also includes practical storage, helping to keep the main living areas uncluttered and easy to navigate. A Scandinavian-style home on a concrete slab
Built on a concrete slab foundation, this residence features no basement, mezzanine, or garden-level floor. All rooms are accessible on a single level, facilitating simple and efficient movement throughout the home.
Spanning 1,792 sq. ft., with a Nordic-inspired architectural style and a functional layout, this single-story, 3-bedroom Scandinavian home plan is an excellent choice for families seeking a spacious, inviting, and contemporary living space.
